DAILY BIBLE READING GUIDES
WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
Imagine Christians from over 170 countries coming together in spirit, uniting to pray for relevant issues affecting women and children. This is a reality! The movement has been active for nearly 100 years. The World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement which brings Christians of many tradi-tions together to observe a common day of prayer each year. Through preparation and participa-tion in the worship service, we can learn how our sisters of other countries, languages and cultures understand the Biblical passages in their context. We can hear their concerns and needs and can join in solidarity with them as we pray with and for them. In this way, it is possible to enrich our Christian faith as it grows deeper and broader in an international, ecumenical expression. The World Day of Prayer is traditionally celebrated on the first Friday of March and each year a different participating country writes the service. This year the service focuses on Slovenia, which is located in Central Europe and is one of the smallest countries in that region. 2019 World Day of Prayer
Date: Friday, March 1st Theme: “Come, Everything is Ready” Location: Living Spirit Centre, 3018 Doan Drive Time: 2:00 p.m.
(Refreshments will be served following the service)
PRO-LIFE CORNER DID YOU KNOW? Breitbart News reports that abortion is the number one cause of death world-wide, noting there were nearly 42 million pre-born children killed by abortion globally in 2018. There were more deaths from abortion in 2018 than all deaths from cancer, malaria, HIV/AIDS, smoking, alcohol and traffic accidents combined. Source: The Interim/February 2019/page 14.

We hope to see 14,000 people participate in writing the Minister of Health by the end of February 2019. Please take a moment to review and sign the pre-scripted letter to the Minister of Health at our church entrances after the Mass. Thank you for living a faith that acts!
