Development Team Update
• Master plan has been drafted, as well as a preliminary first phase: estimated cost ~$9mm
• We need to align the scope and cost of first phase with what the church can realistically afford
• Master plan is on hold while we find a capital funds consultant
• The capital funds consultant will help us:– Determine realistic fund-raising expectations, so first
phase can be properly sized & wrap up master plan – Organize and run a capital campaign
Capital Funds Consultant Search
• Search Team:– Roger Klein, David Minze, Gary Peden, Eric Paulsen, Marlin Fenn
• 7 firms were identified and invited to submit a “statement of qualifications”
• 6 Firms have responded, three finalists will be interviewed in early April
• Proposal will be submitted to Church Council in mid-April• Timing of capital campaign is not determined yet – most
likely Fall 2010 or Spring 2011• You can contribute to the capital fund any time - just
indicate “capital” on your check/envelope
