TheEnterpriseEditionofEmployeeTrainingManagerpermitsyoutohavemultipleclientmachinesconnecttoacentralizeddatabaselocatedonanetworkserver.

TosetuptheEnterpriseEditionofEmployeeTrainingManageronyournetwork,pleasefollowtheinstructionsbelow:

1) DownloadandinstalltheEnterpriseEditionofEmployeeTrainingManageronyourclientmachine(notonyournetworkserver).Ifyouhavenotdonesoalready,youcandownloadthesoftwarefromourwebsite:

2) Oncedownloadedandinstalled,runEmployeeTrainingManagerandselecttheOptionsiconatthetopofthemainwindow.

3) SelecttheDatabaseoptionfromtheMenuontheleft.Thiswillexpandthemenupanel.

4) SelectBackup/Restore/Compact

ClickBackuptheDatabasebuttononthemainpanelandselectthenetworklocationwhereyouwouldliketostorethedatabasetobeaccessedbyotherusers.Makeanoteofthelocation.

5) SelecttheConnectionDetailsmenu(justabovetheBackup/Restore/Compactmenuitem)andclicktheSelectNetworkFolderLocationbuttononthemainscreen.Enterthelocationofthedatabaseonthenetworkthatyouselectedinpoint4.Pleaseensurethateachuseryouwishtoconnecttothedatabasehaspermissionstoreadandwritetothenetworkfolderwherethedatabaseisnowlocated.

6) ClicktheTestConnectiontoDatabasebuttontotestthedatabaseconnectiononthenetworklocationyouhaveentered.Ifthedatabaseislocatedsuccessfullyyouwillreceiveasuccessmessage.Ifyougetanerrorthenitislikelyyouhaveenteredthewrongnetworkfolderlocation,sopleasetryagain.

Ifyouareusingamappeddrivetoanetworklocationandyouexperienceaproblem,pleaseusetheUNCpathtospecifythelocationofthedatabase.

7) Oncetheconnectionissuccessful,confirmandclosethedialog.NowclicktheSavebuttonatthebottomofthescreen.

8) YoucaninstallEmployeeTrainingManageronanothermachineandthenfollowsteps5,6and7oneachmachine.Youwillneedtodothisforeachuser’smachine,asyouneedtoconfigureeachmachinetoconnecttothedatabaseonyournetwork.

Whenyouinstallthesoftwareonanothermachine,youwillseetheRegisterSoftwareicon.Onceyouconnecttheapplicationtothedatabaseonthenetwork,thelicensekeyyou’vepurchasedwillbepickedupandtheapplicationwillbeunlocked.

9) Toconfirmthateachinstallationisconfiguredcorrectly,enteroreditsomedataononemachine,savethechangesandthenconfirmonanothermachinethedatahaschanged.
