COMPANY MEETINGS

AGMAnnual General Meeting

An Annual General Meeting, commonly referred to as an AGM, is a formal meeting which is held once a year.

It is a legal requirement for voluntary organizations that have company status.

AGM acts a review of the whole year.

Opportunity to communicate with members, clients, partners etc.

AGM helps to deal with issues such as the election of committee/board members and reviewing the annual accounts.

EGMExtra-ordinary General MeetingAlso known as Special GM, Emergency GM.

An EGM is a meeting of members (officials, employees) of an organization which occurs at an irregular time.

It s conducted when an issue arises which requires the input of the entire membership and is too serious or urgent to wait until the next AGM.

Statutory Meeting

Statutory meeting is the first meeting of the members of the public limited company. It is held only once in life of a public company.

It can be convened

by the directors

of the company

only.

It is provided in companies' ordinance that the directors shall send a notice of statutory meeting at least 21 days before the day of the meeting to all the shareholders of the company.

The business of the meeting is to consider the statutory report. The statutory report contains a brief account of the state of company's affairs since its incorporation and the business plan.

Staff Meetings

Staff meetings are usually called by the organization’s CEO, owner, human resources manager, or other head management official.
