Cockeysville Senior Center Mission Statement
The mission of the Cockeysville Senior Center is to develop partnerships, programs, and activities that support the senior citizens of our community in their efforts to remain healthy, active, and independent members of the
community, and to provide, coordinate, and advocate for services which ensure the highest quality of life for both active and health-impaired seniors.
Cockeysville Senior Center Council
The Cockeysville Senior Center Council is the governing body of the center membership that is elected by the members. Throughout the year the
council provides many positive programs to benefit our members and the community. Free special events, facility upgrades, donations to the
community outreach program, a staff budget, and the holiday party are just a few examples. The combined efforts of members, volunteers and staff to
achieve a common goal has made Cockeysville’s atmosphere one that is filled with great pride.
General Membership Meetings
Are you interested in your senior center? Your voice is important. Please join fellow members at general membership meetings held on the second Tuesday in January, March, May, July, September and November
at 10:30 a.m.

across from the staff office. Please do not hesitate to contact a board member with any questions.

Cockeysville Senior Center Library
Our library now has a special bookcase for NEW RELEASES. Check it out in the main
library room. We welcome donations of books, in GOOD CONDITION: hardback, paperback fiction, non-fiction and large
print. We also welcome CURRENT magazines. Drop off donations in the
basket in the hallway outside the library room. Happy Reading!
Twenty one years ago this month our center opened here on the site of the old Cockeysville Elementary. We were
the first center to add a fitness center, and we continue to grow and change every year. This year we are freshening up our lobby area and replacing carpeting throughout the building. Thank you for your continued support as we continue to be an integral part of the community.
