First Annual Awards Presentation Evening

Our Host…….

Dave Simpson

Dave is a former British International, British Champion and Commonwealth Silver Medalist

Interesting Fact about Dave…..he created his own move and had it named after him in the International Code of Points…..

The ‘Simpson Spindle' on rings

Dave has been awarded Master Gymnast Status

Our Club…..

Was started in September 2005

Has 5 classes a week

Has 1 head coach and 13 assistant coaches, one of which was nominated for Volunteer of the Year 2005

Has more than 100 members

Has participated in its first competition…

Our First Competition…..

Was held at Bolton Arena on Sunday 4th December 2005

We had entries in 9 groups

There were 9 other clubs competing in our groups

We won a staggering 26 medals…..

4 Bronze

10 Silver

12 GOLD !!!

I think you would agree…..

Not a bad start for a clubthat has only been in existence for

6 months
