Why exhibit?

Meet buyers face-to-face

Approximately 3000 visitors will attend the two-day show.

Compare that to the cost of paying personal visits to the same number of people.

It would take you months, and thousands of dollars, to make the number of sales calls you can achieve in two days at CIPHEX West.

Meet hard to reach buyers

CONTRACTORS who are not current customers.

DESIGNERS and SPECIFIERS who come to the show to see new products and get new ideas.

ENGINEERS, BUILDERS, MUNICIPALITIES and more…

Trade shows combine the massive reach of advertising, the targeting of direct mail, the persuasive power of face-to-face selling and the networking benefits of the internet.

Support your sales team by putting them in direct contact with customers and prospects.

Qualified leads from shows take 30% less time to close – so you can close more sales in less time. Show Management pre-qualifies the audience for you so that your sales team can zero in on these motivated buyers and take less time to convert leads to sales.

Promote your expertise, range of product offerings and customer service

It’s an ideal place to showcase your specialties, whether it is specific product groups, technical expertise, your showroom or more.

You don’t need to display products in your booth, but you do want to have enough staff in the booth at all times to speak with customers and prospects.

So if I don’t display products, WHAT?

Here are some ideas, but you can work with your staff to come up with your own plan:

Set your booth up as a mini lounge and offer specialty coffees (you must work with the Vancouver Convention Centre to do this).

Provide customers with a “passport” listing all of your manufacturers/suppliers. Once your customers complete their passport, they receive a free T-shirt and are entered into a draw for a larger prize. The ballot box is in your booth. This will drive traffic to your booth AND to your suppliers’ booths, and they may be willing to donate a prize.

Rent an electronic badge scanner at the show to obtain all contact and demographic information about the visitors whose badges where scanned in your booth – a great sales follow up tool.

Recruit staff

Trade shows attract the most motivated members of the industry… the people you need on your team.

Students attending shows are the industry members of the future. They are keen to learn about industry products and technologies, and the companies behind them.

Support your manufacturersSupport your manufacturers

Ask for a list of exhibitors from show management and create a list of your lines in the show, which you can give to your customers and prospects – put it on your web site too!

Make sure your staff take time to visit your supplier’s booths, make contact with the reps and check out what’s new – a great (and inexpensive) way to give them product training.

Work with your manufacturers / suppliers to develop promotions to build traffic (and more sales) for your booth and theirs.
