TEAM TAKES NEWLOOK AT RESPITE

.f,,,@{{}ffiRiddlesden woman Cheryl Dibbin is oneof the faces behind a new social careprovider in West Yorkshire.

She and fellow care professionalDonna Gott have launched Bradford-based Care Dynamics (YorkshAe).

They have already recruited a networkof registered care rnanagers, team lead-ers, support workers and personal assis-tants.

Cheryl said: "Care Dynamies canassist customers and families to'explorealternatives to the traditional model ofrespite. This might be at home, wheresupport staff take on the carers'role, orsupport on a short break or holiday.

"We differ from other social care agen-cies because we are setting up a cus-tomer eommittee, which will be fullyinvolved with the future plans anddirection of Care Dynamics.

"Our mission is to create more choice,freedom and control. We passionatelybelieve in finding the best solutions toour customers' ever-changing socialcare needs. It's an approach designed toboth support and enable people to takecontrol of how their services areplanned and delivered."

Donna added: "Our extensive experi-ence and knowledge means we are wellaware of what's required in the regional

social care arena. We are also able tosupport people in receipt of individualbudgets and will invite customers to beinvolved in the recruitment of their ownstaff.

"We believe that every single person,regardless of severity of need or disabil-ity has the abili8 io grow, learn anddevelop. This can be enhanced by ensur-ing that people have access to their com-munities and to mainstream services.

"While care is our key remit, we arealso providing local jobs for local peo-ple. We still require new stafl who willreceive comprehensive training. Thebest care and support can only comethrough the best-trailed and best-moti-vated sta.ff."

Care Dynamics is staging an olren dayat Manningham Mills, Lillycroft Road,Bradford, tomorrow, from 10am to 4pm.
