4Then you add the -20 and 13 together.(-15x – 10) – (x – 3) = (-16x -7)

4Next you multiply the 4 on both sides of the problem.

The problem should look like this after multiplying the 4 on both sides of the Problem.

-15x – 10 – (x – 3) = -54x – 28

Then you can add x – 3 to -15x – 10. The problem should look like this when you are done.-16x – 7 = -54x - 28After that you can add 7 to both sides of the problem to keep it balanced.Your answer should be…-16x = -54x - 21

Next you add 54x to both sides of the problem.You should come to …38x = -21

Lastly, divide by 38 to solve for x. x = -21/38
