Sound travels fastest through solids, followed by liquids and slowest through gases. Bunyi bergerak paling laju melalui pepejal, diikuti cecair dan paling perlahan melalui gas.

Sound cannot travel through a vacuum. Bunyi tidak dapat dihantar melalui vakum.

Tearing of the eardrum.Gegendang telinga terkoyak.

Damage to the hearing centre of the brain.Kerosakan pusat pendengaran di otak.

Damage to sensory cells of the cochlea due to toxic chemical or long exposure to loud sound. Kerosakan sel deria koklea disebabkan oleh bahan kimia toksik atau terdedah terlalu lama kepada bunyi kuat.

Damage to the auditory nerves.Kerosakan saraf auditori.

The ossicles may be fused together due to infection. Osikel melekat bersama kerana jangkitan.

Stereophonic Hearing / Pendegaran Stereofonik

The ability to hear with both ears. Kebolehan mendengar dengan kedua-dua belah telinga.

Determines the direction of sound. Menentukan arah bunyi.

1. The ear closer to the source of sound received the sound earlier and louder. Telinga yang lebih dekat dengan bunyi menerima bunyi lebih awal dan lebih kuat.

2. The brain interprets the difference, thus determining the source of the sound. Otak mentafsirkan perbezaan, seterusnya menentukan sumber bunyi itu.
