There are plenty of dining options at the Davao Crocodile Park
complex. One of them is the popular Riverwalk Grill, known for its
exotic offerings of crocodile and ostrich products.
Riverwalk Grill's menu offers a
wide array of Filipino dishes
including soups, grilled meats
and sizzlers. And of course
there are the croc and ostrich
specialties which are
expectedly pricey.
The Ostrich Steak is one of Riverwalk's bestsellers. Although
quite tough, the meat is very tasty. Other ostrich offerings
include a huge omelet, sisig and salpicao.
Riverwalk Grill has indoor and outdoor dining. The restaurant is
located right by the Davao River so diners get a good view of the
water. Entertainment is often available through a male artist
serenading tables.
Unique dining is on offer via a river
cruise. While not as extravagant as
that of Bohol's Loboc River, this
type of dining is worth a try.
For cold treats, visitors of Davao
Crocodile Park can simply exit the
park and get some nice crocodile ice
cream. No, they're not made of croc
meat. They're made with croc eggs.
Davao Crocodile Park has a breeding facility for crocs and
some of the eggs are put to good use.
There is a wide array of
crocodile ice cream flavors on
offer. Some of the most
interesting are croco jackfruit
and durian.
Pastries are also available at
the ice cream station. These
muffins are great with either
ice cream or coffee that's also
on offer.
Coffee is roasted and ground
on-site. Freshly brewed altura
and civet coffee can be
enjoyed by coffee lovers at
this spot. Civet coffee is
known to be one of the most
expensive coffees in world.
