Join us for a Guided Meditation Group on January 15th in the Library from 10:00am to 11:00am. Practicing meditation can be extremely beneficial for your physical and mental wellbeing. Meditation can help with the challenges that come before us, and can be a very effective tool for mental and emotional health. Participants will be led in a guided meditation and learn helpful breathing techniques that can assist with daily living.

FIRE SAFETY EDUCATION Friday, January 24, 2020
City Councilmember Barry Grodenchik’s Office and the FDNY Office of Community Affairs will be having a Fire Safety Education Unit provide a Fire Safety Education Presentation on January 24, 2020 at 11am‐1pm. Smoke Alarm distribution will happen at the end of the event for those who stayed for the presentation.

Let us celebrate the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by learning about his life and legacy. His leadership of the modern American Civil Rights Movement, from December 1955 until April 4, 1968 was a significant period in the history of social action in this country. Let’s brainstorm ways to demonstrate non‐violent behavior while we enjoy Dr. King’s favorite dessert – Pecan Pie!
