Dear fellow community members, Many have pointed out that CHAZAQ has had many

big events in the past, and if so what makes this night dif-ferent than any other night? While their question is indeed valid, I answer them as follows:

What makes tonight different than all other nights, is that while on all other nights we have one speaker, tonight we have four (if you include the MC). While on all other

nights, we have programs in local Synagogues and must therefore sit straight and in a dignified manner, tonight we are in a local public school auditorium and may sit in a reclined fashion while enjoying the music and entertainment. While on all other nights we offer delicious food and refreshments, tonight we may not serve any food at all (sorry… policy of the school).

Jokes aside, what really makes tonight’s CHAZAQ Event unique, is the fact that we have had the opportunity to gather over one thousand fel-low community members, under one roof with one common goal: To help CHAZAQ build a stronger future.

While we are quite confident that you will (be”h) be inspired and enter-tained by tonight’s phenomenal program, in reality this event isn’t just about tonight, it’s about tomorrow. By joining us, you have become a partner in CHAZAQ’s mission of inspiring local teenagers and helping them shape up their future as successful young men and women.

CHAZAQ Events Some of the highlights of the Queens Torah scene are CHAZAQ events, which take place throughout the calen-dar year. Hundreds of people from all Jewish backgrounds come to these wonderful gatherings and go home in-spired. Be it lecturer insights

on the upcoming holidays, preparing us for the ups and downs of married life, or helping us improve our character traits, CHAZAQ has them all, assuring that every aspect of our lives is strengthened in the true Torah way.

CHAZAQ Torah Libraries The CHAZAQ To-rah Library, located in several community synagogues, offers hundreds of Torah CDs, DVDs, and CD-Roms, which include material for young and old a like, thereby allowing people to use today’s technology in a Torah true way.

CD Distribution If you attend a CHAZAQ event, we want to make sure the Torah expe-rience continues even away from the Synagogue. Thus, CHAZAQ has distributed thousands of Torah CDs Free of charge thereby allowing peo-ple to drive back home or simply re-lax while listening to fabulous Torah lectures.

CHAZAQ Weekly Publications Thousands of CHAZAQ publica-tions circulate around the world on a weekly basis. With fascinat-ing Torah thoughts in English, Hebrew and Russian, CHAZAQ of-

fers beautiful insights to read and share at the Shabbat table.

CHAZAQ Men’s Division Upon seeing the success of the women’s division, a paral-lel men’s division was created. “Importance of Torah study” and the “Keys to Holiness” are some of the topics focused upon at these CHAZAQ programs which have attracted and inspired hundreds.

CHAZAQ Women’s Division Realizing the need to focus on issues pertaining to women, the CHAZAQ Women’s division was created. With lecturers and programs geared to-wards strengthening the Jewish home, hundreds of women have at-tended these CHAZAQ programs

and are therefore better prepared to build a true Torah home.

CHAZAQ Chavruta Program The CHAZAQ One on One Chavru-ta Learning Program allows people of all levels of Torah observance to strengthen their learning skills with a qualified study partner focusing on topics of their personal inter-ests.

Pri IlanOver one hundred years after the passing of Cha-cham Yosef Chaim, better known as the “Ben Ish Hai,” CHAZAQ has proudly published 2 books on the Halachot (laws) of the Ben Ish Hai which pro-

vide sources, expla-nations, and insights into this holy work in a thorough yet pre-cise fashion. The books, currently available in Hebrew, are entitled “Pri Ilan” and are authored by CHAZAQ Director, Rabbi Ilan Meirov. It has Haskamot (approbations) and Divrei Bracha

(Blessings) from several of the greatest Torah sages of our time, including Hagaon Harav Ovadia Yosef shlit”a. The books are available in many local Judaica stores or by call-ing 917-275-SHOP
