Best Photo from Every Entry

This year is the first time King's organized a photo essay contest for high school

students, and the judges were impressed with the quality of the entries. We

wanted to highlight each entrant, so here is a collection of the best photo from

every entry.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a photo essay. We appreciate the work

you put in to create stunning art.

Once the snow and ice melts, canoes, kayaks and paddle boats can be

Emma Lachmann

“House 59 and its longing for change.”

Holly Szabados

“A man out walking passes under an old bridge. This path, running

alongside a railway line, has become popular with hikers and joggers in

recent months. The bridge it passes under remains a popular canvas for

local artists.”

“Sweet Dreams: The waters are calm, and the sky is full of glimmering

stars at dusk. Though I may be alone physically. I wonder who else

across the shore is enjoying this phenomenon with me.”

Sakura Arai Hall

Bedford, N.S.

“Taken at the end of August, looking out from the Bedford Basin. I spent most of my summer going for walks around Bedford. It wraps up a summer spent with a small group of friends.”

Shada Hamed Halifax, N.S.

“View from the Dingle Tower looking down on the Halifax Northwest

Arm with the Nova Scotia flag.”

Steven Prytulak

Ysa Dan Mari Fajardo

beautiful!”
