THE OFFICIAL USER’S GUIDE TO THE BASNO EXPERIENCE

•  Did you run a marathon? Make a donation? Contribute to a campaign? By doing so the company/organization you support may have automatically sent you an email to claim your badge.

TWO METHODS OF CLAIMING

•  Want to get a badge that is currently on the basno site? A badge that you saw on a friend’s Facebook page? You may have some prerequisites to accomplish before obtaining the badge, but with some effort the badge can be yours.

EMAIL BASNO.COM / SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES

•  The email will state the issuer of the badge

•  Click on the button titled “CLICK HERE TO CLAIM”

•  You will be prompted to sign in using one of the three social networking sites

•  You may be prompted to verify your credentials

•  Proceed to page 7 for further instructions on email badge claiming

•  Click on “GET YOUR OWN” or the link listed underneath the description

•  Based on the wishes of the issuer, you may be redirected to a donation site (or some other location where you can meet the prerequisites for the badge)

•  If the badge is by invitation only, the “Request a Badge” window will appear

•  See a friends badge that you want? Just click for more information

•  The destination for the links/icons displayed on each of these mediums is at the discretion of the company

•  You may be directed to basno.com or the company’s site to gather badge specific information

•  Now that you have received your badge, it is time to post it

•  You will be led to this page – through email or the company’s site – only once Basno has verified that you merit and subsequently own the badge

•  While the steps listed here are for VFW, badge posting processes are similar for all Basno digital goods

•  The “ADD YOUR INFORMATION” section is at the request of the organization/company and may not appear

•  After claiming your badge you will be prompted to “SIGN IN” so that your badge can be posted (though not listed here, you can sign in with LinkedIn)

•  The “CUSTOMIZE” step allows you to implant a personal picture (if feature is activated) and subsequently add a personal message

•  Due to technological constraints, you cannot share your message via LinkedIn during this step (page 11 will detail how you share with LinkedIn)

•  Finish by clicking “ADD TO VAULT”

•  Before viewing your badge collection on the basno.com site, you will be prompted to sign in

•  To get more information on a specific badge, just click on the image
