Where is it situated?It is situated in Lahore, Pakistan

It was built in Mughal Era, under the supervision of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb .He is more popularly known as Aurangzeb, or by his chosen grand title Alamgir ("Conqueror of the World"), he was the sixth Mughal Emperor, whose control lasted for 49 years.

Who made it ?

Masjid was completed under the supervision of Aurangzeb’s foster brother Muzaffar Hussain, who was the governor of Lahore. It started in May 1671 which took 2 years and finally it was completed April 1673 .

How long it took to built?

The architecture of the mosque

is a mixture of many different

cultures.

The structure was covered with

Redstone and the four domes

were covered by white marble.

Badshahi Masjid or Royal Mosque is the second largest mosque in Pakistan

It was considered the largest mosque for about 313 years till the construction of Faisal Mosque, Islamabad

It is the fifth largest mosque in the world It is capable of accommodating 5,000 worshippers in its main prayer hall and further 95,000 in its courtyard
