23rd  January  2015        Dear  Brothers  and  Sister  in  Islam,      Assalamu  Alaikum,    MASJID  BILAL  CONSTRUCTION  APPEAL    NO  118/10A,  ABEYSEKARA  ROAD,  DEHIWALA,  SRI  LANKA    I’m  penning  this  letter  to  you  with  the  sole  intention  that  we  all  get  together  and  help  in  building  the  House  of  Allah,  Masjid  Bilal  which  is  situated  in  Dehiwala  is  in  need  of  funds  to  help  in  its  construction.  I  happened  to  attend  Jummah  Salah  at  the  mosque  during  which  the  appeal  for  construction  was  raised      The  need   for   construction  came   to  being  due   to   the  existing  mosque  not  being  able  to  hold  the  crowd  capacity  for  Jummah  Salah  and  thus  the  Board  of  Trustees  purchased   the   house   adjoining   the   mosque.   People   pray   on   the   road,   in   the  purchased  house  and  in  garages  of  the  people  surrounding  the  mosque.      Presently   the   house   has   been   demolished   and   plans   have   been   put   up   to  construct  an  extension   to  house   the  overflowing  capacity  of  people   that  attend  the  mosque.      This  is  a  great  opportunity  for  the  contribution  of  Sadaqa  Jariyah,  which  is  when  a   human   dies,   then   his   good   deeds   stop   except   for   three:   a   Sadaqa  Jariah   (continuous   charity),   a   beneficial   knowledge,   or   a   righteous   child  who  prays  for  him.”  –  Sahih  Muslim    It  is  not  how  much  you  contribute  to  this  cause  rather  it  is  your  intention,  even  if  you   contribute   Rs.   1   or   Rs.   100   is   worth   more   that   the   world   and   its   entire  contents  to  the  contribution  to  this  good  cause.   Just  imagine  for  a  moment  all  the  reward  of   the  people  praying  Insha  Allah  will  come  to  you  too  till   the  Day   of   Judgment   if   you   contribute   to   this   cause,   further  Allah   (SWT)  will  Insha  Allah    build  a  palace  too  for  you  in  Janaah.      

 A mosque is the best of places. It is more blessed and virtuous than all other places. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The most beloved of places to Allah is the mosque,

and the most detested of places to Allah is the marketplace.” [Sahîh Muslim]

There is great reward in building a mosque for Allah’s sake. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in

Paradise.” [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim]
