Create a Functional Location 1. This can be a conceptual location during a design phase, that will become a functional location once set in service. Status will indicate whether this location is operational or not.

2. Note the link to ‘Rotating Items’. When the Item Master is created, this will set up the design specification of the equipment required for this location.

received and an asset is

created.

Construction Project Work Order can kick off procurement process

Purchase Requisition shows ties between item being ordered, location it is going to, and work controlling the installation…

Purchase Order carries similar information….

Receipt carries identifying information…

…and will force the asset number assignment.

Actual Tab on Work Order shows receipt of Item…

Location shows the Asset Tag number installed.

NOTE: The asset carries the

correct naming convention,

specifications, purchase and

vendor information, PMs,

Meters..all that was defined in

the Item Master.
