• California Code of Regulations, Title 5 14001 (a) an 14030(a).

Board Policy requires it:• CSBA Board Policy 7100

“The Superintendent of each LEA “Oversees the preparation of (school construction and modernization) plans from the developed education specifications”.

Because it makes good sense• The design, construction and reconstruction of schools is difficult

enough and the educational specifications serve as a district standard which can be given to design professionals.

It helps you qualify for state school facility funding when site conditions require deviation from CDE school construction guidelines.
