The Perfect TensesO The present

perfect is formed by using the verb haber in the present tense + the past participle.

O The present perfect is “I have done, you have done”, etc.

O Haber:O HeO HasO HaO HemosO Han

O The pluperfect is “I had done, you had done”, etc.

O It is formed by using haber in the imperfect + the past participle.

O HabíaO HabíasO HabíaO HabíamosO Habían

O There is also a future perfect (“I will have done, you will have done”, etc.)

O This is formed by using haber in the future + the past participle.

O HabréO HabrásO HabráO HabremosO habrán

O There is also a conditional perfect (“I would have done, you will have done”, etc.)

O This is formed by using haber in the conditional + the past participle.

Forming the past participles

O For –ar verbs: take the stem & add “ado”.

O HabladoO NevadoO Terminado

O For –er verbs AND –ir verbs, take the stem and add “ido”.
