Right in the pine forest and scrubland of Provence, a wild tour is offered on the paths of Manon des Sources, amid scents of thyme, rosemary and lavender.
With this route you might very well come upon the goat herd of Jacourelles, on the way to the climb up to the Bastide du Juge. From the top, you’ll admire the Luberon highlighted by the silver furrow of the Durance.
La Roque Vaud houses the Cistercian Silvacane Abbey.

2 GRÉASQUETour of the historic mining center
The village of Gréasque, a former mining town, benefits from a privileged location between Aix-en-Provence, Marseille and Aubagne. In the village center, beautiful gardens have been set up in the 16th century castle’s area that belonged to the family de Castellane. The mining museum is located within the Hély d’Oissel wells. The forests of the Communal Domain which extend to Europe’s oldest mining town’s, remains offer pleasant walks and can be explored by mountain bike or on horseback.

From the Provençal village to the scrubland, here is a beauti-ful jaunt in Saint-Cannat countryside, center of good life and enchanting landscapes. Coming from the former N7 road, it’s hard to see Saint-Cannat as an abundant farmland responding to all the Provençal rural clichés. Go through the paths between vineyards and olive groves, Bories, water tanks, pine and oak trees, beehives, rosemary fields, old country houses and isolated farms, beautiful fountains, cypress hedges… and you realize! 5hrs of pilgrimage (less with the shortcut) to make up with the idea of the original Provence, everything is never more than 2 to 3 km away from the village.

7 AIX-EN-PROVENCE From the "steps of Cézanne to the balconies of Aix-en-Provence"
In the heart of the protected Montaiguet hills, 100m away from the bridge of the Three Sautets painted by Cézanne, with the Sainte-Victoire Mountain as a backdrop, follow the painter’s footprints to reach the Arc River. Behold the landscapes and colors just like the painter experienced them along the hiking trail. Feel intensely the presence of the master, in his human simplicity and finish this journey IVV enjoying the tranquility of the river banks. 83km long, the Arc is a small river that takes its source in the village of Pourcieux (Var) and flows into the Etang de Berre. Bask in the trees’ shade and immerse yourself in this rural atmosphere.
