Future continuous dissemination plans
The "After-LIFE" dissemination and communication activities will be directed to thepeople interested in the project, through the active dissemination of information by theproject partners. We must not forget that although the rehabilitated riverbed in thisproject is located in the southeast of Spain, the potential use of the methodologies usedincludes national and international areas that allow the dissemination and transfer ofactivities for the national and international audience through courses for researchers andscientific staff.
In addition, the administrations will be responsible for the maintenance of the riverbed toreduce the risk of mobility of heavy metals and to increase the welfare of the population.Trails, information panels and other elements located in the field will be maintained andmonitored to prevent their deterioration. On the other hand, educational courses andtechnical visits aimed at undergraduate students, graduates and the general public will beorganized by the Technical University of Cartagena every year in partnership with thepublic administration.
Finally, the waste producers (livestock and tanning companies) will be responsible of thedisseminating of the results to increase the potential value of these residues and toachieve the rehabilitation of other affected areas. The dissemination activities will bebased on the continuation of the dissemination actions of the project, with thepreparation of methodology and information management through different media(brochures, reports, technical visits, field trips to the riverbed, etc...) focused on thedifferent types of interested people. In addition, the attendance to congresses willcontinue for the publication of the final results of the project.
Other activities that will be carried out are the publication of papers in national andinternational journals showing the evolution of the properties of soil and vegetation overtime. Radio interviews, press news, project progress reports, the website and thedissemination will continue after the end of the project.
