•Review position description

•Update resume/vita

•Identify accomplishments- keep notes

•Establish goals for the next year- employee- department

•Facilitate communication

•Plan for the future- Remove any deficiencies- Improve current skills- Expand personal/professional growth

•Clarify ratings and expectations

Evaluation Discussion

Considerations

•The employee signature on review form indicates receipt of review – not necessarily agreement

•All employees may add a written statement/ rebuttal to the annual review

•Annual reviews are retained in the official personnel file for three years following evaluation date

•Periodically review goals- track progress

•Track accomplishments- keep notes

•Seek clarification
