Dividestudentsintogroups.Theywillrotatethroughthefollowingcentres:

Sequencing:printouttheimagesofthestoryandcutintotheirowncards.Shufflethecards.Pick5atrandom.Studentsarrangethecardsinorder.Youcanwritethesequenceorderonthebacksotheycanchecktheirwork.

Theatre:Re-enactthestoryusingteacher-madepuppetsandapuppettheater.Cuecardscanbeplacedatthecenterincasetheyneedhelp.Note:Alternatively,studentscantakeontheroleofthetroll,goats,and/ornarratorfortheirreenactment.

Dividestudentsintogroups.Theywillrotatethroughthefollowingstations:

Math:Doamathactivitybasedontheconceptofbig,biggerandbiggest.Forexample,printoutandcutthecardsonpage5.Arrangethecardsinascendingorderonthedesk.Usingitemsaroundtheclassroom,askstudentstocategorizesimilaritems(beads,thestudents’shoes,printoutoftheABRAcharacters,etc.).

Morals:Discussingroupshowtodealwithpotentialbullyingsituationspresentedoncards(samplecardsonpage6).Theycandrawapictureofhowtodealwiththesituationandhowthatsituationwouldmakethemfeel.
