COMMENTS ON THE APPROPRIATENESS OF TEACHING AIDS

• The TASK CARD used by the teacher is appropriate in delivering the lesson because through this the previous lesson was clearly realized.

• The use of MANILA PAPER in delivering the lesson is very much appropriate in such a way that they were able to visualize or represent the Carbon-Oxygen Cycle through the use of drawing.

“Learn from the past”

• In this activity they need to represent what they’ve learned during their past lessons

• Letting student to explain their work

• Express what is their understanding on their topic

• Critiquing the work of other groups

• Giving criteria

Recommendations • The teaching aid used by the teacher is very

effective in such away that learners can construct their own ideas basing from their previous lesson. Therefore we recommend that kind of teaching aid in implementing such topic because it is really of great help in developing the ideas of every student and knowing how far they have learned.

• On the other hand the teacher must suggest his/her students to used coloring materials in order to improve their work.

Educational TheoryThe theory used by the teacher is the

constructivism theory because it is based on students' active participation in constructing their knowledge about their topic which involves critical thinking regarding a learning activity which they find relevant and engaging. They are "constructing" their own knowledge by testing ideas and approaches based on their prior knowledge and experience, applying these to a new situation, and integrating the new knowledge gained with pre-existing intellectual constructs.
