A Message from our President Jeanette Stribling
Happy Valentine’s Day to all!! I hope you enjoyed the Westminster Show as I did this week. We had several members in attendance and it has been wonderful watching and hearing of their progress. Thank you to all who have signed up to chair and/or serve with committees this year. GKC is growing by leaps and bounds and I hope that as we add new members, these committees will continue to grow. If you were unable to sign-up for a committee due to absence, please let me know and I’ll happily put you to work!! Thank you also for the many words of encouragement and prayers over these past few months while I have been dealing with issues within my family. It has been a bit overwhelming at times, but I’m happy to report that things are beginning to look up! Till next time, Jeanette

This is “Lacie” Ky’s Wynn’N Seaside Lacie Valentine. Out of my “Jenny” GCH Ky’s CJ Watch’N Me Wynn JH and “Ritz” CH Banker’s Gold Standard. She and her owner just achieved her AKC Advanced Therapy Dog Title. I am so proud of this Team helping to make so many people so happy and bring joy to their lives Especially at such down times in their lives. Ruthie Dalpee her owner, tells me that this job came so naturally to Lacie. She goes 2 x’s per week to MUSC in Charleston she is allowed anywhere in the Hospital except for the surgery room. Not all puppies come into this world to be a show dog and it’s wonderful when their owners find the reason they came into their lives! Lacie’s job is making folks happy, especially at down times in their lives

As we head home from New York and the Westminster Kennel Club Show we thank Judge Mrs. Linda Hurlebaus for finding our Willett in a very strong line up of top PBGVs. It was thrilling for our young bitch to be honored with an Award Of Merit in her first outing at WKC. Later that evening we celebrated and the restaurant actually had Willett Bourbon to toast our little bourbon girl!
In late January at the Charleston Kennel Club show Judge Mrs. Lisa Warren awarded Willi a regular Group Four and the next day an Owner Handled Group One in another nice lineup of hounds. In OH Best In Show Willi showed off her agility skills by taking the ramp on the last go round and not missing a beat jumped off and kept going. Everyone had a good laugh as she picks up admirers every where she goes
