“LOVE LEFT BEHIND”

This Friday at 7:00pm, Saturday at 7:00pm and Sunday at 6:00pm,the MVCA Drama Class will present “LOVE LEFT BEHIND.” A five star perfor-mance you do not want to miss.

A tender, funny, inspirational time travel adventure about a young girl seeking to go back in time to change a moment where she believed a special love she had known to have been left behind.

Through arriving to multiple places over multiple eras, Phoebe and her lifetime friend Carl, learn that overcoming hurts from grief and death are universal and timeless and that all people from all ages have processed grief, sometimes very differently. From ancient Greece where people look to mythology, science and reason for answers to Medieval Times with knights and religious quests to a saloon in the Wild West and a Speak Easy during the roaring 20s, the young duo encounter individuals who help Phoebe go through her own processes with grief.

We do not intend to promote or glorify the lifestyles or behaviors associated with these various places and time periods, but to show the various world views and ideologies that were prevalent through the different places and times.

Arriving erroneously in the 1980s, Phoebe finally comes face to face with her doubts about God and has to decide if she will overcome her grief and hold to a faith of her own or remain in her grief.

Our prayer is that through this play, you, too, may have a cathartic moment where you learn how to deal with anger, anxiety, or depression. We also pray that you will be able to laugh along with Carl’s antics and see that laughter is good for the soul and a merry heart does good like a medicine (Proverbs 17:22).
