GLOBAL ORGANIZATION
Doosan Heavy is considered a major, high-performing global company.
Doosan Heavy is active in Project Management, Construction, Engineering and Manufacturing of Power Plants, Industrial Facilities, Water Desalination and Engines and Construction equipment
Doosan Heavy has two world-leading, fully integrated power plant manufacturing facilities located in Changwon, South Korea and Vina, Vietnam.
7
FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
Doosan Heavy has demonstrated dramatic growth in recent years by winning major EPC projects. Our financial performance in 2009 had mixed results.
($3.4 bn)($4.8 bn)
($5.2 bn) ($6.1bn)
($5.9 bn)($6.9 bn)
($4.7 bn)($4.7 bn)
($0.24 bn)
($0.40 bn) ($0.34 bn) ($0.35 bn)
Our strong backlog of orders accumulated during the ‘07~’08 period helped propel revenues to a new high of USD 5.2 bn in 2009
Revenues continued to climb as we made progress.
Orders fell because many projects scheduled for tender were delayed due to financing issues.
With these issues expected to be largely resolved in 2 or 3 years, the power and water industries are expected to deliver a huge order pool, enabling Doosan Heavy to nearly double its orders for growth.
