This is the interface for creating posts with any combination of text and media.

It is a very barebones word processor.

To insert an image, click the “add media” button or simply drop your picture into the text area.

This will take you to the media gallery. Click “upload” to add new files from your computer or click “media library” to see what you have already uploaded.

Here is it what it looks like after uploading two files. At this point you can simply insert or take the time to create a gallery.

Before you insert an image, you can change settings and information in the window tothe right.

The display settings below let you choose alignment and size.

Clicking “preview” shows us what our final post will look like.

In this example, two more photographs were uploaded and “create gallery” was selected from the top left. Afterwards, “create a new gallery” was selected on the bottom right.

When you are done, click “publish” and your post will be live! If you are not done, click “save draft” so you do not lose your work.

Find one photograph to represent each genre that we discussed.

Create a blog post using the photos that you found.

Under each image in your post, answer the following questions:

What is the photograph of? (be specific)

Why does it fall under the genre that you chose?

What about this image is appealing to you?
