My 1L welcoming reception where we met all the black professors and upper level BLSA students and ate great food.

Favorite BLSA Memory:

All the great friends that I've made through the organization.

Favorite BLSA Memory:

My induction into the Kemet Chapter during the 1L event. This was and still is my favorite memory because I met some of the most amazing students and Faculty in the law school(former 2Ls and 3Ls). Those members helped me to feel as if I was part of a big family. They also helped me to realize that I could consult them as needed so my transition in law school could be much smoother.

Favorite BLSA Memory:

Developing the idea of the UNITY Potluck and

watching it come to fruition during the

Kemet Chapter's Black History month

celebration. I am most proud for its continued

legacy.

Favorite BLSA Memory:

The 3L event from my 1L year. I think it kind of hit me how important BLSA can be in the law school experience and I realized how amazing it was for me to be a black person, from my community, in law school. It definitely made me realize that only great things can come from this experience, despite the massive amount of debt I'm incurring. LOL

Favorite BLSA Memory:

Participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer with BLSA in 2010.

Favorite BLSA Memory:

Definitely the times that I spent mentoring and working with others. I fondly remember the time that a group of us volunteered at a local community center, the time I spent with my mentee through our high school mentor/mentee program, and of course, the time I spent with my NUSL mentee. They all were great learning opportunities and a source of great satisfaction!

Favorite BLSA Memory:

During my 1L year planning a community service event at the Hattie B. Cooper Center for Black History Month. Going into the community, spending time with kids and the amount of BLSA members/ NUSL students in attendance was exciting to me. This was one of the first events I planned as Director of Community Service. I wanted to make sure that BLSA and NUSL students did not take their opportunities for granted, but rather use their education, time and services to giving back to others in the community.

Favorite BLSA Memory:

The day that BLSA volunteered at a local community center in Boston. Nicole Britton organized it and it was so much fun. We played games with all of the little children.
