JCIDS process, architecting process, and operators/using entities develop JCIDS products (e.g., Initial Capabilities Development Document (CDD), Joint Operation Concepts, etc.) with support

from space acquisition organizations as requested. Once it is clear that a space system needs to be acquired, J8 will notify DoD Space

MDA.

Includes concept studies, assessments and requirements (e.g., technology

development, Capability Development Document). During this phase, baseline development is mature enough to enter
