On Campus Training Personal Trainer CertificationAre you ready to LIVE your passion? Whether for a career move or for personal knowledge, students get allthe information needed to become a Certified Personal Trainer. This industry and employer driven course isformatted as a 62–hour program and is comprised of 16 hours of lecture, 16 hours of hands–on practicaltraining and a 30–hour internship that networks many graduates right into a job. Practicing what you learn inthis challenging course makes it all come together in 8 weeks with the National Exam on the 9th week.
The course prepares students for career success with key topics that include biomechanics, exercise physiol-ogy, fitness testing, equipment usage, and health assessment. CPR/AED is required. W.I.T.S. is the only majorcertifying body in the country providing comprehensive practical training and internship components. (CourseFee $749) The text is required and not included in course fees.
W.I.T.S. is an approved CEU provider for the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), NationalCertification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), the International Association of Con-tinuing Education and Training (IACET). The American Council on Education has recommended 3 undergrad-uate academic credits for this course.
