On 10.01.2016 to 16.01.2016, Road Safety Week Competitons was organized by Traffic Control Police
Bilaspur (CG).
In the morning from 8AM-9AM, 40 Students were given training at Police Ground. In this week, many
programs like Debate, Painting, Essays and Slogan Competitions were conducted.

International Yoga Day
21.6.2015: Every year international Yoga Day is celebrated on twenty first June to inculcate healthy
practices in people, Teachers and students of the college practicing yoga on Yog Diwas. Three day
practice session is organized before final day. Activity was done under the guidance of Dr. B.K. Soni,
Yoga Expert and Prof. of Physics of our College.
3 days prior to the International Yoga day on 18th, 19th & 20th June, 2015 a special practice fot the Yaga
Day has been organized by Prof. B.K.Soni, Professor of Physics, Yoga Trainer & Spacial Guest,
Patanjali Yoga Peeth, Haridwar. With the Prayer the International Yoga Day has been commenced.
Different Asans of Yoga like- Tadasan, Vrikshasan, Padhstasan, Ardhchakrasan, Trikonasan,

Dandasan, Bhadrasan, Vajrasan etc. have been performed by Dr. Soni. With these asans Dr. Soni has
also thrown light on the importance of Yoga and its benefits.
The programme was presided over by Dr. S.R.Kamlesh, Principal and well conducted by Dr.
Manju Madhuri Bajpai and Vote of Thanks has been rendered by Dr. Sharda Kashyap.

Hand Made Rakhi and Gifts to Army Personnel
13.8.2015: Hand made Rakhis were tied on the hands of the Police and Army Prsonnel to show
gratitude towards them. And also 200 Rakhis and gifts were sent to the borders for the Army
Personnel to express their gratitudes, respect and gesture of love. By tying Rakhi to Police
Personnel, NSS cadets to inform the common people that Police is there to help and protect us,
they are one among us, so we should not be fearful of them. Jyoti Kushwaha, Dev Kiran Sahu,
Ritu Sahu, Munni Vaishnaw, Deepanjali Patle and many others participated in the programme.

Gamala Donation with Plants
20.8.2015 Donation of Pots and plantation on Sadbhawana Diwas Celebrated on 20th August every
year, Sadbhavana Diwas commemorates the memory of our late erstwhile Prime Minister, Rajiv
Gandhi. Paying homage to his memory. Under the Regular Activities of NSS in the month of Sawan
students voluntarily donated Gamala to the college with medicinal plants and plants for the beautification
of the campus. This activity has been performed with the Plantation programme of the college to keep
the campus Clean and Green.

Plantation at Village Pad
On 6.9.2015 Plantation under Environmental Conservation was carried out at “God Gram” Pand Village.
NSS students with NSS officer visited to gram Pad and along with villagers took plantation, as a green
drive.
Under the Regular Activities of the NSS Unit, Plantation under the Environmental Conservation was
carried out in the adopted village Pand. Approx. 300 plants have been planted to make the enviroment
eco-friendly. Students kept visiting the village to see the growth of the plants. Sarpanch, villagers and
students of the village were instructed to water the plants regulary to keep them alive. School’s children
have been allotted 5-5 plants to water them regulary. Gram Sarpanch-Kaushal Prasad Kaushik,
Secretary, Mitanin played important role in the activity.

Stitching Training for Self Employment by Students
On 6th September 2015, Stitching Training for Self-Employment was organized in the adopted village
Gram Pand for village girls and women. They were taught to stitch clothes like petticoat, blouse, frock,
pyjamas etc so that they can earn their livelihood sitting at home. The act and technique of cutting was
also explained with the help of paper cutting and sample cuttings were given to them.
Our students Munni Vaishnav, Somprabha Kaushik, and Garima Rathore, Prabha Tiwari taught them
who are skilled in this field.

Voters Awareness program
On 1.1.16 - As per the order of the District Election Commission and Office of the Additional
Director, Bilaspur, Letter No. 1843/ Est./2016, Bilaspur. Dated: 12/09/2016, cadets of the NSS
Unit 1 & 2 of the college organized a rally to make the villagers of the adopted village Pand
aware of the importance of voting. They moved on the roads of the village shouting slogans and
carrying posters and banners to make the villagers aware of the importance of casting their
votes. 35 cadets from the college have participated in the programme. Along with the NSS Units
of the college, Gram Panchayat Pand has also supported the programme.

STREET PLAY
On 10.01.2016 - Nukkad Natak was played by NSS students to emphasize on self employment by
small scale industries and stitching tailoring etc Gram Pad.
Under the Employment oriented programmes of NSS Rgular Activities in the adopted village Pand, NSS
cadets played Nukkad Natak to make the villagers aware of Self-Employment like Small Scale
Industries, Stitching, Tailoring, and

Swami Vivekanand Jayanti
10.1.2016 - On the occasion of Swami Vivekanand Jayanti motivational lecture was organized in the
premises and given by Ms Sulbha Tai Deshpandey. The NSS Officer Dr MM Bajpai conducted the
Programme. Our Principal Dr S.L Nirala Sir also enlightened the girls with his motivational speech and
told about the greatness of Swami Vivekanand.
Students were inspired by the Programme. The college staff and the girls of college were present in
large number.

Competitions on Vivekanand Jayanti
Vivekanand Kendra Bilaspur, Organized competitions in the college, on the occasion of
Vivekanand Jayanti. A Quiz on the life of Vivekanand was the special attraction, Kendra
firstly distributed small booklet to students which gave information about Vivekanand
and they were asked to read it, in the second phase the questionnaire was given to
participants to answer. It was an interesting effort to make student know about our
National saint.

Marathon on National Voters Day
23.1.2016 - Marathon on the National Voters Day was organized: Students, teachers, NSS
Officers, Principals of the various colleges, Additional Director, Higher Education participated in
the Awareness Drive. This programme was held under the banner of SVEEP, Systematic Voters’
Education and Electoral Participation, a flagship programme of the Election Commission of India
for voter education, spreading voter awareness and promoting voter literacy in India. As per the
order of the Government, along with the other programmes Marathon Race was also held in
Bilaspur. 100 students from the college participated in the race along with the students from other
colleges, Additional Director, Higher Education, Principals from various colleges and coordinators
and NSS officers from many colleges.

Voting Awareness Campaign at Vridhhashram
On 29.1.2016 Voting Awareness Campaign was arranged at old age home, students interacted with
elderly people and motivated them to cast their votes, NSS, NCC Officers and College Professors also
participated along with students.
The SVEEP Nodal Officer Dr D. Meshram, Dr M.M Bajpai Unit I and Dr Usha Singh Unit II and Captain
Dr Shashi Gupta NCC Officer and many professors and girls were present for Matdata Jagrukata
Abhiyan(Voter Awareness Programme). In the Jan Parshad Kalyan Kunj Aparijat Bhawan Bilaspur NSS
Officers along with 30 girls asked about the welfare of old people in the Ashram. They also made them
aware about their right to vote and told them their importance of voting and emphasized the benefits of
voting.

WORKSHOP
30.1.2016 - Workshop by Vivekanand Kendra to inculcate Indian Culture, Yoga and virtues of Swami
Vivekanand, in Budding Citizens, students actively participated in workshop.
On 30.01.2016 in the presence of special guest of honour Miss Sulbha Tai and Principal Dr Kiran Bajpai
in Room No 24, a lecture was arranged and the invited speakers delivered lecture on life, character
nation building qualities of Swami Vivekand Jee.
The Programme was conducted by Dr M.M Bajpai. The girls of the college were present in huge
number.

SCIENCE EXPRESS TOUR
2.2.2016: On 2nd February 2016, a special train was stationed on Bilaspur Junction for 5 days,
students were sent to observe and understand scientific basis of Global Warming, Bio diversity threats,
new approaches in industrial development etc.
In the special train information regarding Mud Refrigerator, Environment Pollution and how to save
Environmental Cleanliness of ponds and how to save environment, importance of oxygen was given.
Dr M.M Bajpai, Dr Usha Singh, Dr Shashi Gupta, Dr Snehal Moghe were also present along with the
students. Our Principal Dr S.R Kamlesh also inspired the students to follow all these important
information imparted to them.

PULSE POLIO DRIVE
21.2.2016: Motivational rally and awareness program was organized by NSS cadets to
eradicate polio by motivating locals to give polio drops to infants. Their rally in slum locality
made a significant impact on inhabitants. This programme has been organized in
collaboration with the District Hospital, Bilaspur. Approximate 25 cadets have visited nearby
villages to motivate the villagers to take their infants from 0 to 5 to the hospitals or nearby

camps for polio drops. Various banners and posters were made displayed in the rally to
promote awareness among the locals. Many workers from the District Hospital were also
supported in the successful accomplishment of the Abhiyan. Motivational Rally and
Awareness Programme was performed under the guidship of Principal Dr. S.R.Kamlesh and
NSS officer Dr. Manju Madhuri Bajpai.
