How do we deliver education to the masses?

Discuss Delivery Models Utilized

Discuss Delivery Models Utilized

Diverse Student Population

Discuss Delivery Models Utilized

• Labs are broken into small tasks that mirror common workflows in the Health Care domain.– Registering a Patient– Placing an Order– Build New Charting Template– Create a new User Account

Discuss Delivery Models Utilized

• A brief “How-to” video is created for each lab the students are expected to complete.

Discuss Delivery Models Utilized

• For each lab activity the students are given the “Scenario” to make the activity as real world as possible.

Discuss Delivery Models Utilized

• Students are also provided with instructions for the what the specific deliverable is for each lab activity.

Lessons Learned

Lessons Learned:• The FAQ is a living, working document– Pick a format that is quick/easy to update– Wiki format works well

• Never assume they ‘get it’• Silence usually isn’t a good thing• Utilize a “Help” discussion forum– More savvy students will help those who are not

• Anticipate Technology Issues
