SIGNING NOTES
1. AT THESE LOCATIONS, ONLY THE SIGN PANELS AND POSTS WILL BE REPLACED. NEW FOUNDATIONS ARE NOT REQUIRED.
2. THE LEGEND FOR THE DJ-1 D AND DJ-1 A SIGNS WILL NOT INCLUDE CARDINAL DIRECTION. USE 4.6-INCH LEFT AND RIGHT MARGINS FOR BOTH SIGNS. USE A 4 INCH SPACE BETWEEN WILBUR AND ST ON THE DJ-1A SIGNS.
3. AT THESE LOCATIONS, REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF THE EXISTING SIGNS AND FOUNDATIONS.
4. ALL SINGLE POST SIGNS, EXCEPT DJ-1 SERIES SIGNS, WITH A HORIZONTAL DIMENSION OF JO INCHES OR GREATER SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH BRACING PER STANDARD DRAWING S-01.00. USE J/B" BOLTS TO ATTACH BRACING INSTEAD OF THE 5/B" aOLTS SHOWN ON S-01.00. BRACING OF DJ-1 SERIES SIGNS WILL NOT BE REQUIRED ON THIS PROJECT.
5 . POSTS ~HALL BE PERFORATED STEEL TUBE (PST).
6. INSTALL DJ-1A AND D3-1D SIGNS ABOVE THE R1-1 SIGN AS SHOWN ON THIS SHEET. NOTE THIS NEW DETAIL REQUIRES A LONGER POST THAN BEFORE.
7 . ATTACH ALL SIGNS, FRAMED AND UNFRAMED, TO THEIR SUPPORTS WITH ZINC PLATED 3/B" BOLTS, EXCEPT ATTACH UNFRAMED SIGNS TO PERFORATED TUBES WITH ACCESSORY DRIVE RIVETS.
B. ;NSTALL THE TOP EDGE OF SIGNS 1" ABOVE THE TOPS OF POSTS, EXCEPT FOR DJ-1 SERIES SIGNS.
9. INSTALL THE TOP EDGE OF SIGNS J" BELOW THE TOP OF POST, WHENEVER THEY ARE MOUNTED BELOW SIGNS SECURED BY POST TOP MOUNTING BRACKETS.
10. THE BRACKET DETAILS SHOWN INDICATE GENERAL DESIGNS ONLY. DESIGNS MAY VARY BY MANUFACTURER.
