Board meeting of the Jewish Women's · Musical club was held Tuesday, March 2 at 1.15 p.m. in the Civic auditorium. Mrs. H. H. Hershfield, chairman, welcomed Mrs. Clare Foley Coupal and introduced her to the members.
Mrs. Coupal is the author of 0 Decision," one of the three one-act plays which will be presented at the Playwrights' Premiere at the Playhouse Theatre Tuesday, March 23.

Whatever goes on in Winnipeg must draw each of us into its vortex. This is certainly true of the Community Chest, to which 29 agencies, touching every phase of philan~ thropy, arc affiliated, Jewish institutions among them. To each annual campaign members of the Jewish community have been liberal subscribers, a pcrformnnce which they will no doUbt continue to repeat. Possibly they might do so all the more this year on personal grounds, since D. C. Groff is the chairman of the campnign committee. "Doug," as he is so intimately known to a wide circle, is in daily touch with the apparel industry nnd its cognate affiliates, and many are the members of the community who count him among their :friends. In his outlining program, Mr. Groff expressed the hope thnt the fund raising In the current year would "go over tho top," and if so it would mean the enable-
