15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only: a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in

our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

• 不 要 愛 世 界 和 世 界 上 的 事 。人 若 愛 世 界 ， 愛 父 的 心 就 不 在 他 裡 面 了 。因 為 凡 世 界 上 的 事 ， 就 像 肉 體 的 情 慾 ， 眼 目 的 情 慾 ， 並 今 生 的 驕 傲 ， 都 不 是 從 父 來 的 ， 乃 是 從 世 界 來 的

• No amen al mundo ni nada de lo que hay en él. Si alguien ama al mundo, no tiene el amor del Padre. 16 Porque nada de lo que hay en el mundo —los malos deseos del *cuerpo, la codicia de los ojos y la arrogancia de la vida— proviene del Padre sino del mundo.

• 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone

who does what pleases God will live forever.

• 這 世 界 和 其 上 的 情 慾 都 要 過 去 ， 惟 獨 遵 行 神 旨 意 的 ， 是 永 遠 常 存

•  El mundo se acaba con sus malos deseos, pero el que hace la voluntad de Dios permanece para siempre

world offers:• Craving for physical pleasure

– food, sex, entertainment, sport & leisure

• Craving for everything we see– Marketing,

• Pride in our achievements & possessions– Academic achievements, business etc…

• ‘I have just bought a field and must inspect it. Please excuse me.’ – INVESTMENTS of time, your resources ,

interests , entertainment, sport.  

•  I have just bought five pairs of oxen’ – – BUSINESS

• ‘I now have a wife, so I can’t come.’ – RELATIONSHIPS.

Psalm 127詩 篇 Salmos 127

• Unless the LORD builds a house,    the work of the builders is wasted.

Unless the LORD protects a city,    guarding it with sentries will do no good.

• 所 羅 門 上 行 之 詩 。若 不 是 耶 和 華 建 造 房 屋 ， 建 造 的 人 就 枉 然 勞 力 ； 若 不 是 耶 和 華 看 守 城 池 ， 看 守 的 人 就 枉 然 警 醒 。

• Si el SEÑOR no edifica la casa, en vano se esfuerzan los albañiles. Si el SEÑOR no cuida la ciudad, en vano hacen guardia los vigilantes.

Psalm 127:2• It is useless for you to work so hard from early

morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.

• 你 們 清 晨 早 起 ，夜 晚 安 歇 吃 勞 碌 得 來 的 飯 ，本 是 枉 然 ； 惟 有 耶 和 華 所 親 愛 的 ，必 叫 他 安 然 睡 覺

• En vano madrugan ustedes, y se acuestan muy tarde, para comer un pan de fatigas, porque Dios concede el sueño a sus amados.

How do we make room for the Holy Spirit?

• Talk to God & Listen for his voice • Read & meditate on his Word, the Bible. • Pray using your spiritual language• Sing praise & worship Him• Do not neglect fellowship in the Holy Spirit

– (remember the Sabbath day = date day; Duty or Love?)

• Be still and simply enjoy his presence.• Share his love: tell someone about Jesus!

4 things will happen when you make room for God in your life:

1. Joy

2. Changed Life o You will stop living for yourself

AND make room for others.

4. Burning Hearts
