GuardStart is an American Red Cross program for
youth, ages 11-14 that provides a foundation of
aquatics for future successful completion of the Red
Cross Lifeguarding Course. Cost is $85.
If you’re 15 years or older and looking for a great
summer job that’s in demand, the Red Cross Life-
guarding program is the place to start. You’ll learn
resue, surveillance, first aid and CPR/AED through
video and hands-on practice. Cost is $125.
Take the next step in your career as an aquatics
professional with this one-day course that teaches you
to effectively manage lifeguards and keep patrons,
guards and facilities safe. Available upon request with
minimum enrollment required.
The purpose of the instructor course is to train
instructor candidates to teach American Red
Cross Lifeguarding, Water Park skills,
and CPR/AED for professional rescuers.
Beginner rescuers learn adult, child
and infant CPR with AED. Cost is $30.

Why jump out of a perfectly good airplane?
Because it’s the thrill of a lifetime! Liberty offers
skydiving trips to Walterboro Airpark on the first
Saturday of each month through September.
Registrations are due the Monday prior to each
trip date. The cost is $157 for a tandem jump which
includes instruction and everything you’ll need to
take the plunge. The van departs from the OAC
parking lot at 7:15 a.m. Participants must be
18 years of age and can’t weigh more than 220 lbs.
Join Liberty as we head to the local gun
shop/firing range for your rifle and/or pistol
qualifications. The cost is $75 for one
qualification and $140 for both rifle and pistol.
Registration fee includes transportation, weapon
qualification, ammunition, and range sheets. Our van
will depart from the OAC parking lot at 7:15 a.m.
Registrations are accepted at ITT.

Registration for the Air Base Youth Program’sSummer Camp is now underway. The camp runsfrom June 4 through Aug. 17. Times are 6:30 a.m.
- 6 p.m. for ages 5-12 for the full-day camp. Thepart-day camp hours for ages 10-14 are 6:30 a.m. to12 p.m. After 12 p.m., the kids can enjoy supervised
open, self- directed play in the Youth Center. Five-oldsin the program are required to have completed
kindergarten to register. Camp fees are based on totalfamily income. Camp registration packets can be
picked up at the Youth Center.
