When no more of certain species that are alive in this kind are said to have disappeared.

IN THE PAST SEVERAL ANIMAL SPECIES EXTINCT BECAUSE OF

NORMAL REASONS:

• Climate Change• Destroyed by

others - stronger or faster.

But since man appeared on earth and especially in the last hundred years,

the species began to disappear due to hunting, pollution or destruction of the

places where they live.PE

NOWADAYS…Now there are so many animals that are endangered, that their list is kept in the "Red Book".Unfortunately, the list gets longer every year.

In Every 20 minutes on the Earth an animal or plant species

disappears.

Of almost 45 000 animals entered in the Red Book,869 have been disappeared from the face of the Earth for the past four years

SPECIAL MEASURES:

• ban on hunting• in conservation reserves• care for their propagation.

The Red Book to each illustration has a special character - a bow with an arrow, symbolizing the status of the species:

• extinct species it is black

• Endangered – Red

• Rare - yellow.

THE RED BOOK OF ANIMALS INCLUDES BIRDS, MAMMALS, FISH, REPTILES AND AMPHIBIANS.

Over the last 50-60 years in BulgariaMissing: - about 30 species of plants - 16 species of animals.Endangered:- 400 species of plants- 78 species of animals

IN BULGARIAAbout 383 species of birds.

Protected - 327 of them 100 are included in the Red Book

These three species - bearded vulture maiden Crane Little Bustard

and no longer nest in Bulgaria, or migrate through it.

The Red Book of Bulgaria recorded 19 mammals, some species of bats

Black Sea monk seal is considered extinct, although individual specimens have been seen most recently in 1991

Extinct mammals are European mink, and afala, mutkur

The Red Book describes:• two amphibians (pelobates and syriacus)• and 13 reptiles.

Bulgaria is extremely rich in endemic plants, which can not be seen anywhere else in the world - 170 species. Moreover, the country established and around 200 Balkan endemics, many of which are distributed mainly in Bulgaria and initially found it.

During the Ice Age glaciers were significantly weaker and more cushioned than in other parts of Europe and there remained a number of plants that have not survived elsewhere.
