Nine species of weedswerefoundontheprivatepropertiesduringtheBioBlitz.Weeds are a widespread problem in Wheatbelt remnants and direct treatment isunlikelytobepracticalorfeasible. However, theirspreadcanbeminimisedbycurtailing disturbance of the remnant where possible.

The presence of feral foxes, cats and rabbits was also noted during the BioBlitz. It is recommended that the current control methods used by the landholders be continued, aswellastheDepartmentofParksandWildlife’scoordinated feral animal controlintheneighbouringJulimarStateForest.
