Rober ts works borrow f rom ar t-histor ica l and pop cultura l sources . His cramped paint ings

display the perspect iva l complexity of ancient Eg ypt ian and Byzant ine paint ing . The contents

are stacked one above the other, showing di f ferent v iews s imultaneously. They br ing

to mind Hockney’s ear ly paint ings and photo col lages . Cubism and comic books . The subject

For the first collaboration, Spring 2013, Color focuses on the innovators exploring the streets and back alleys for their next source of inspiration. Whether it’s laying down a trick at an untapped spot, taking photos, or simply enjoying the finer things in life—using fabrics that wear well and just get better with age, Sitka’s capsule collection with Color founder/creative director, Alessandro Grison, braves that initial first step in untracked territory where anything imaginable can be waiting just around the corner.
