About HNC 2016

Healthplex Expo 2016, Natural & Nutraceutical Products China 2016 (hereinafter referred to as HNC 2016) was successfully concluded in Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) on June 23, 2016. The exhibition has collected the most advanced information and news in healthcare and Big Health industries, presenting an all-around and one-stop healthcare industry trade platform. As one of the nutraceutical products exhibitions on the largest scale in Asia-Pacific region, HNC has become a wind-vane exhibition in the nutraceutical products industry.

HNC 2016 was co-located with CPhI China 2016, Hi China, Fi Asia-China 2016, Starch Expo 2016, Expo FoodTec 2016 and FPF 2016, which realized the maximization of resource integration again. The exhibitions covered all the halls in SNIEC with a total exhibition area of 210,000+ square meters, and attracted over 3,800 leading exhibitors and 70,563 visitors at home and abroad. HNC used the East Entrance Hall as the E8 Hall for the first time, whose exhibition area increased by 20% compared with that of 2015, covering a total area of 15,000 square meters and connected with the E7 and E6 halls in the health natural resource exhibition area with many famous celebrities at home and abroad gathering here. 434 famous foreign and Chinese enterprises were attracted to participate in the exhibition and 16,552 visitors stayed to negotiate for purchasing.

The exhibition not only provided business and trade cooperation opportunities for healthcare enterprises to explore distributors, marketing channels and develop

regional agents but also brought new products, new techniques and new ingredients for upstream and

downstream chain industries for visitors, laying a good foundation for the futuristic science and technology

transformation of healthcare products enterprises. The on-site events were more diversified, specialized and refined. More

than 30 healthcare products industry summit forums, technical exchange meetings, business and trade matchmaking meetings that were held in the same period presented a more distinct

Big Health futuristic pattern for the visitors from such aspects as the development prospect, product research and development

orientation, import and export policies and other aspects of healthcare industry.

This was the sixth edition of the summit forums have been successfully held, and it analyzed the current situation of the industry from all perspectives for you to seek for new opportunities for cooperation. More than ten provincial healthcare industrial associations from Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, Xiamen, Yunnan, Qinghai, Tibet and others led their teams to participate in this activity. At the forum, leaders from the government supervising departments, authoritative experts and nutritionists in the industry and others focused on the key points of laws and regulations adjustment, supervising trend, the opportunities and futuristic development of Chinese nutrition and healthcare industry and other contents in the nutrition and healthcare industry of 2016 and made in-depth discussions. In addition, the forum discussed and elected technical innovation enterprises, demonstrating factories, quality service enterprises, excellent entrepreneurs, famous and quality products in the 2016 "Yangtze River Delta Nutrition and Healthcare Industry" and gave an award. This gave a positive energy to the healthy development of the nutrition and healthcare industry in the Yangtze River Delta and tried to create the new spirit of striving to be and create the best in the Yangtze River Delta region. The "Chinese Healthcare Food Industry, 2016 Internet Marketing Meeting" which was co-sponsored by Tencent, Baidu, 360, MI and other major Internet platforms landed on the 2016 HNC healthcare products exhibition. This meeting has led virtuous colleagues of the industry to witness the achievements of the strategic cooperation between Chinese healthcare food industry and Tencent, the advertising of Tencent's WeChat was open to healthcare food for the first time, sharing the participation benefits of signing with Tencent on the scene. Additionally, all major Internet platforms shore information on healthcare products cross-screen marketing, Tencent socializing marketing, healthcare products search marketing and marketing special show in the Internet era. This forum wasn't a free meeting, but it attracted nearly 150 audience members.

Nutraceutical Industry Development Conference - China’s Market Entry Strategy for Foreign Dietary Supplements

If Chinese nutrition industry is a sunrise industry, food for special medical use may be a "daybreak industry." The publicity and enforcement of the new "Law on Food Security of People's Republic of China" has determined the legal status of prescribed food of special use in all rounds; the official enforcement of "Management Measures on Healthcare Food Registration and Filing" and "Management Measures on Registration of Prescribed Food of Special Use" would undoubtedly benefit the development of food of special use industry and the industry would welcome a major explosion. In order to satisfy the domestic market demand of prescribed food of special use, promote the development of prescribed food of special use in China and establish relevant assorted national standard system connecting to the international society, this exchange meeting started by focusing on "interpretation of laws and regulations," "clinical application" and "standard formulation" and created a great stir in all participants of the meeting. A great number of people signed for an entry actively before the meeting, some audience members arrived at the scene in advance one hour before the meeting started, all seats were occupied onsite, and even the passage was crowded by people. With nearly 160 audience members being attracted, this meeting was commented as the "hottest forum" by audience members of HNC exhibition afterwards.

The Administrative Measures for Health Food Registration and Filing and the Administrative Measures for Registration of Food for Special Medical Purposes along with other regulations were released in succession and will be formally implemented on July 1, 2016. With the trend of registration and filing, the procedure for health products within the content of raw materials going on the market is likely to be simplified, which will not only benefit the development of overseas health product manufacturing enterprises in China, but also benefit market expansion for the whole health product industry.

The 3rd Nutraceutical Industry Development Conference served overseas health product manufacturing enterprises that are interested in China’s health product market. We invited authoritative institutions, associations, and enterprise representatives in the health product industry from China and abroad to introduce the latest from the Great Health market in China, deeply analyze new policies and the registration and application process of overseas products, and share successful cases of overseas enterprises to help overseas health product manufacturing enterprises enter China’s market.
