At this retreat, participants will learn:• What an obstacle course can teach us about leadership. • How medieval thinking about spirituality is relevant for
our lives in the 21st century.• How journaling can help us become better
communicators and help us discern what to do with our lives.
• Through first-hand experience, how activities such as basketball, volleyball, and kickball are great ways to develop leadership traits.

Seven days of thinking deeply about our lives and the things we do on a day-to-day basis. What does it look like for us to eat, drink, dress, shop, watch, play, and love in ways that help and heal those around us as well as foster health and happiness in our own lives? Mornings and evenings will be spent in discussion and afternoons will consist of free time and organized events. Mornings:Day 1 – Check in and activitiesDay 2 – Entertainment and technologyDay 3 – Food and drinkDay 4 – Fashion and expressionDay 5 – Relationships - family, friends, pets, etc.Day 6 – Relationships - strangers, enemies, etc. Day 7 – Debrief and departure
afternoons: The Turtle Back Zoo, canoeing at the Essex County Environmental Center, attending a local baseball game, ice cream social, and exploring a labyrinth.
