FRENCH HORN VACANCY The United States Naval Academy Band is seeking a French Horn Player to perform with the Brass quintet, chamber groups, Ceremonial and Marching Units. The audition will be held on November 18, 2019. The audition committee reserves the right to dismiss any candidate not meeting the highest professional standards. To be considered for an audition, applicants will submit a one page resume by November 11, 2019 to Musician 1st Class Matt Harriman at [email protected]. Additional materials are not necessary and will not be viewed. All travel arrangements and expenses are the responsibility of the candidate. Active duty musicians from all branches of the U.S. military must also send a conditional release from their Commanding Officer to be used if the candidate wins the audition for the Naval Academy Band. In order to accept a position with the Naval Academy Band, the audition winner must also qualify for enlistment in the United States Navy and successfully complete Recruit Training after the audition. A minimum of a four-year enlistment is required. The Navy has strict height, weight, and other medical requirements. Additionally, Naval Academy Band members may not have tattoos that are visible in short sleeves or skirts. Applicants are highly encouraged to seek out the advice of a U.S. Navy Recruiter. A recruiter is trained and qualified to ascertain a civilian’s eligibility to join the U.S. Navy. FRENCH HORN VACANCY

The United States Naval Academy Band is seeking a French Horn Player to perform with the Brass quintet, chamber groups, Ceremonial and Marching Units. The audition will be held on November 18, 2019.
