Explosive Atmospheres

Our Products

Big Bags have been designed for explosive atmospheres in accordance with the IEC 61340-4-4 Ed 2 standard International Electrotechnical Commision. This standard is used to unify the analysis for considering the Big Bag suitable in each category and their classification for their correct use.

We offer the following types of BigBag:

Type A Big Bags (not for use in explosive atmospheres)

This is the standard BigBag. In explosive atmospheres there may be electrostatic discharges which could cause ignition.

Type B Big Bags

The difference from the standard BigBag is that the breakdown Voltage of the fabric is less than 6kV; this property ensure the absence of Propagating Brush Discharges.

Type C Conductive Big Bags

Constructed using a net of conductive tapes connected to two earth terminals. This avoids the generation of electroestatic charge BigBag. And additionally, this avoids the generation of an electrostatic field that could damage workers or machinery.Conductive resistance from any point must be less than 1E7 Ohms (resistance which ensures that voltages that may cause electrostatic discharge cannot be reached). Furthermore, the fabric must have a breakdown Voltage below 6kV.

With a special design and composition, these are earmarked for transporting and storing products catalogued as “hazardous” as per ADR, RID and IMDG standards. Certificated by accredited agencies in accordance with the laboratory tests shown in such standards.

Type D Dissipative BigBags

Constructed using a special dissipative wires which generate corona discharges, its energy is so low that it presensts no explosive risk and and it releases the accumulated charge on the Big Bag, avoiding the possibility of higher energy discharges. Earth terminals bags are not required but a certain level of cleanliness on the container surface is necessary to ensure a safe working environment.

3.1. Qbag

The Qbag - preformed bag, baffle bag - , has PP straps sewn along the inside part of the body corners so to maintain its square or rectangular shape once filled. This leads to optimising space during transport as well as improving stability.The use of QBags increases up to a 25% more loaded product on a same space.

3.2. Aquabag

AQUABAG is the latest innovation in the storage and transport of liquids. A container designed with internal stiffeners which allow maximum use of space during transport and storage after filling, and maximum stability and safety in stacking and transportation. All this, plus the fact that the container takes up the minimum space possible when not in use, thanks to its flexible design.Suitable for use with food products in accordance with European legislation and easy to reuse by replacing the internal bag, AQUABAG is the best option for the transport and storage of liquids.We have a wide range of charge/discharge valve accessories in our catalogue.

3.3. No Pallet

We have developed a kind of Big Bag with a special shape at its bottom to be transported without the need of pallets or other accessories, and when the upper loops are not wanted to be used. This means that pallets can be removed with the consequent savings on materials and the win of space at your facilities.

Advantages:• Savings: By reducing the pallets´ cost• Increased productivity: Less time and people is needed with the handling of pallets• Space Optimization: You don’t need to store wooden pallets on-site• Environmetally Friendly: Help to preserve forests as you’ll be using much less wood

3.4. DBulk. Inliners for maritim containers

Dbulk bags offer cost saving, quality and flexibility in reference to other bulk bags and storage methods. They provide protection both for the product against the container floor and walls, and for the container itself against the stored product. This allows containers to be used as a low-cost alternative to Big-Bags or to tanker trucks for the transport of bulk dry goods. Advantages include:

Classic Big Bags

4.1. D4 Standard

The D4 Standard is the most traditional big-bag of the four lifting loops products´ range. With a filling capacity from 600 to 2000Kg, the D4 Standard can be used to pack granulated or powdered products.

4.2. D1

The D1 Big Bag makes handling fast and efficient, once filled as well as during its storage and transport. D1 bags are made out of Polypropylene fabric (PP) and may contain a Polyethylene (PE) liner inside. They are U.V. stabilized and can be recycled. Its biggest advantage is that it can be easily lifted from one or two points. Loading and unloading with fork-lift trucks can be carried out by a single person and the bags can be stacked up to 5 heights. A better use of space provides more storage availability at no additional cost.

Emptying is fast thanks to a single cut at the bottom with a sharp object, or with the use of a discharge spout (optional). There are specific designed D-1 for cement, fertilisers, dangerous goods, etc.
