• The ZAC is a 13-member District Committee charged by the Board of Trustees to form recommendations for new enrollment zones and revisions to existing enrollment zones.– Four new members this school year

Zoning and the Equal Protection Clause of the US Constitution
• It is not permissible to use a student assignment plan that relies on racial classifications in order to achieve racial balancing in schools.
• A plan is racially neutral if it determines student assignments based on home addresses and/or geographic boundaries as long as the boundaries are not bizarre or highly irregular.
High School Rezoning Variances
• Automatically accepted for 11th and 12th graders in first year of new zones
• 10th grade varsity athletes can select school of origin
• All others follow standard variance process
