Psychometric Testing
TEST ADMINISTRATION
Duration: One-day course or distance learning (approximately 4 hours)
Course Outcome: The ability to administer OPRA’s full range of psychometric assessments
Program content includes:
• Rationale for using assessments
• Importance of test standardisation
• Responsible use of psychometric tests
• Introduction to the OPRA suite of assessments
• Introduction to the OPRA online system
This course is a prerequisite to doing the Test Interpretation course.
TEST INTERPRETATION: FOUNDATION COURSE
This course includes a mix of E-learning content and face to face or remote workshop attendance.
Accreditation in Test Administration is a prerequisite for this course. The courses are available through our
public training offerings or In-house training on request. Also ask about conversion training if you have
attained accreditation through other OPRA-recognised providers.
Duration: One to two-day course (face to face or Remote workshops)
Course Outcome: A license to interpret and provide feedback using OPRA’s personality and ability
assessments
Program content includes:
• An introduction to contemporary psychometric principles and research
• Test selection based on role requirements
• Interpretation of OPRA ability and personality test results
• Practical experience in reporting psychometric assessments for various audiences
• Delivery of candidate and hiring manager feedback against best practice guidelines
TEST INTERPRETATION: ADVANCED COURSE
Duration: One-day course
Course Outcome: Build on and reinforce knowledge gained in Test Interpretation Foundation course
Program content includes:
• Scientific selection: How to effectively incorporate psychometrics into strategic selection activity
• Psychometrics and HR: Broader application of the tools, including ideal role profiling, team building,
talent management, and leadership development
• The introduction of specialist psychometric assessments (e.g. skills, simulations, situational judgement)
• Future assessment trends and considerations

Assessment and Development Centres
OPRA’s Assessment and Development Centre (A/DC) accreditation includes two complementary courses.
Training covers both aspects of Design and Delivery of assessment centres. Upon completion of both
components, participants will be able to design, run, and assess an assessment centre competently.
OPRA can custom design each component of our A/DC programme to reflect the needs of each organisation
with whom we work more specifically.
ASSESSOR TRAINING
Duration: One-day course
Course Outcome: The ability to deliver and assess an A/DC in-house
Program content includes:
• Observing and recording behaviours
• Classifying and evaluating behaviours
• Assessing performance
• Standard setting and data integration
• Providing and receiving feedback
DESIGN AND DELIVERY TRAINING
Duration: One-day course
Course Outcome: The ability to competently select and structure activities for your own A/DC, including
logistics and timetabling arrangements
Program content includes:
• Principles, purpose and benefits of assessment centres (AC)
• Logistics of developing and delivering an AC
• Developing a structure for the AC based on a robust job analysis
• Developing/selecting exercises to include in the AC
• Developing and evaluating behavioural checklists
• Importance of assessor training and AC administrative details

Emotional Intelligence
EI ACCREDITATION AND COACHING
OPRA partners with Genos International to provide an Emotional Intelligence (EI) Accreditation Programme
specially designed to develop your own capability and help you assess, measure and develop emotionally
intelligent behaviours in others.
Duration: One-day course
Course Outcome: The ability to competently use and interpret OPRA’s range of EI developmental tools to
enhance EI skills in the workplace
Program content includes:
• In-depth understanding of EI and its application in the workplace
• How to develop individuals’ emotional intelligence by assessing and debriefing their assessment results
• Provide practical tools and techniques for applying emotional intelligence in the workplace.
• Design and deliver group based emotional intelligence development sessions.
• Report interpretation and feedback training
• Knowledge of individual and group development options
• Development of coaching skills; applying cognitive/behavioural restructuring tactics
• Aligning corporate strategy to EI
Coaching LEADER AS COACH
This course focuses on the practical knowledge, skills and techniques required for leaders to conduct
coaching. Upon completion of the workshop, participants are supported in the development of their coaching
skills with quarterly webinars and monthly mailers to supplement their coaching toolkits. OPRA’s Leader as
Coach Programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society and the Association for Coaching.
Duration: Two-day course
Course Outcome: The ability to competently deliver effective coaching services
Program content includes:
• The coaching paradigm
• Responsibilities of the coach and the coaching contract
• Structuring the sessions, setting objectives and targets
• Listening and questioning skills

Team Development TEAM PROFILING AND DEVELOPMENT
This course introduces the use of personality assessments to identify individuals’ preferred styles of working to
build cohesive and well-functioning teams.
Duration: Two-day course
Course Outcome: The ability to design and implement team-based training to enhance work functioning,
communication, and the exploration of individual/group differences.
Program content includes:
• The design and facilitation of team development workshops

Interviewing STRUCTURED AND UNSTRUCTURED INTERVIEWING
This course is designed to reduce the risk of organisations making the wrong hiring decision by providing up-
to-date instruction and advice on selection interviewing that is relevant in the local context.

Course Outcome: The ability to design and deliver robust, defensible interviews.

• Unstructured interviewing
