Happy 10th Anniversary JAG Indiana! Six JAG students from Region 1 joined other JAG stu-
dents and alumni from across the state at the Indiana
Statehouse to celebrate the JAG Indiana program’s 10
year Anniversary on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Stu-
dents served as pages and had the opportunity to con-
nect with local legislators, see the government in ac-
tion, and tour the statehouse. The tour began in the
Atrium and continued through the Secretary of the
State’s Office, the House of Representatives Chamber,
the Senate Chamber, and the Indiana Supreme Court
Courtroom. Governor Eric Holcomb served as the key-
note speaker to announce the outstanding success of
JAG Indiana’s 10 years of commitment to students.

The ink on their contracts will soon be dry
and their new jobs will begin!
Bridges Across America
Knox JAG will soon begin working on a month-
long project with JAG students from the states of
Washington and North Dakota. We hope to ex-
change ideas about our respective local cultures,
and exhibit the unity that is so important in the
JAG model!
Middle School Buddies Program
At the beginning of the year we brainstormed ideas
that could help our JAG students gain leadership
skills while building a stronger unity here at Knox
High School. Many JAG members spoke about their
freshman year, when they were nervous about their
new surroundings.
Our Career Association representatives have been
working hard to create the Middle School Buddy
Program in which eighth graders will join us on
April 10, 2017 for a Q&A session with upperclass-
men. They will get the chance to experience what
it’s like during an average high school day. We hope
to work with our younger Knox community mem-
bers (and hopefully future JAG students) to make
their transition to high school a little easier.
State Career Development Conference
Knox JAG took 5 of its students to the Indiana State

JAG students from around the state:
Employability Skills-Mikayla Frederick
