Students, faculty and staff will be
notified by a combination of email,
voice and text messages on the
nature of the emergency, what ac-
tion to take if necessary, and how
to access further information. In
addition, the Mott Community Col-
lege Emergency Notification Sys-
tem will be tested on the second
Tuesday of each semester.
The MCC Emergency Notification
Systems is specifically designed to
enhanced campus wide communi-
cation through multiple points of
contact. The Emergency Notifica-
tion Systems helps MCC maintain
its commitment to ensuring the
safety and security of the College
community by taking necessary
steps to broaden its reach of emer-
gency communications.
Mott Community College is
now utilizing a system to
rapidly communicate with
students, faculty and staff
in the event of an emer-
gency.
In addition to sending emergency
alerts to anyone with a College- pro-
vided email account, MCC has the
capability of sending communications
via voice mail and text messages to
home, work and/or cellular tele-
phones.
The system is currently active and
ready to use. In order to receive
emergency text messages and voice
mail alerts, you must provide emer-
gency contact information by clicking
on the WebAdvisor located on the
home page of the MCC website
www.mcc.edu. You can call the
MCC Information Technology Ser-
vices Help Desk at (810) 762-4357 if
you have questions or problems with
signing up to receive the emergency
alerts.
To Submit your contact information,
following these simple steps:
1. O n t h e h o m e p a g e
www.mcc.edu, click on
WebAdvisor, then go to the
Emergency Notification Link.
2. Students login to the system
with their student numbers.
Faculty and staff login with
their Datatel ID numbers.
All MCC students, faculty and staff
can receive emergency notification
through the existing College voice
mail and email systems. However,
only those who have provided the
MCC Emergency Notification Sys-
tem with cell phone information can
be contacted via text messages.
Emergency messages will be dis-
tributed by Mott Community Col-
lege Public Safety Department or
other authorized College staff
members who typically deal with
campus emergencies, with ap-
proval from college administrators
serving on the executive cabinet.

We have been experiencing some SEVERE problems
with the septic system at the NTC. This is a “Friendly
Reminder” not to flush any personal hygiene prod-
ucts in the toilet (tampons, kotex, diapers, etc.).
These products are plugging up the septic system and
it is very expensive to repair.
Thank you for your cooperation regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
