The
limb-bones are all fragmentary and are
scarcely worthy
of detailed description.
So
far
as
they can
be
compared,
they
are
identical
with
those
of the existing Crocodilia: and
one
speci
men
(n
2[5) comprising the distal end
of
the
humerus (pI.
Il,
fig. 7) and
femur
(pi.
Il,
fig. g)
presumably of one individual,
indicates
that the
fore-limb \vas
relatively
large
and of
about the
same proportions
as
in
the
modern Caiman.
One
fragment of
the pectoral arch (no 2[8)
exibits
the
usual
perforation
of the
coracoid. An imperfect
fore-foot (n 208) displays the characteristic carpal
elements, a very large elongated radiale, a
smaller
though
also
elongated ulnare ,
and
a \ Cry small
pisiforme. One very robust iliuIll nO 2[5) shown
from
the
outer aspect in pI. lI, fig. 8, is low
and
depressed.

So far as determinable, the proportions of the
bones

the same.

their
rugose
ornament

of the boss on the
maxilla

crocodiles even
the proportions of the skull change much with
